The Ombrees guest house is an authentic Arcachon villa from the 1870s, located a few steps from the winter town district and beaches on the edge of the Bassin d'Arcachon. We designed this seaside guest house like a vacation home, a place where you like to rest and spend happy moments with friends or family.

The downtown core is less than 1 km away, quickly accessible on foot or by bike. To reach the beautiful and vast Pereire beach or the most family Joigny beach, one only needs to walk a few hundred meters. The Arcachon bay and Bird Island are also visible from the balcony of the Pine room. Thanks to our Ocean views, our guest house - inn can be classified among the few guest rooms or Arcachon Bay hotels with a view of the Bay of Arcachon.
Our Inn in Arcachon
2 bedrooms and a family suite are available to our guests. Each bedroom opens onto the outside via a balcony or a private terrace to make the most of the garden and its beautiful trees. The house is located in a residential area, at the foot of the winter town of Arcachon, immersed in a large shaded garden where it is good to rest away from the summer bustle.

A large living room with library is available to our customers. They will also find games, music and a courtesy tray with tea, coffee, herbal teas and water available to them, free of charge, throughout the day.

It is in this living room that we serve breakfast when the weather does not allow us access to the south-facing terrace in front of the house.
We strive to offer a varied breakfast that is different every day, prepared at home and based on fresh, seasonal and organic products as often as possible. We also know how to adapt to different diets, gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan…
This ideal location allows our guests to easily discover Arcachon and the Arcachon bay. On foot, by bike, by car, by public transport, everything is easily accessible from our guest house inn.

Arcachon is primarily a seaside holiday location with its many beaches on Arcachon Bay and quick access to great ocean beaches. Guest house on the beach, Les Ombrées allows you to enjoy the pleasures of the beach in a few minutes.

All water sports are possible, on the calm waters of the Bassin d'Arcachon or in the waves of the ocean: surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, sailing, water skiing, kayaking...

Land sports are not forgotten thanks to the proximity of the Landes forest. Bicycles or mountain bikes for the more athletic, on the cycle paths that criss-cross the Bassin or on the forest paths. Hikes along the coast or on hiking trails. Golf, horse riding, tennis, Arcachon is a paradise for athletes of all ages and all levels.

Family leisure activities are not left out. The guest house near the Arcachon Bay Zoo appeals to families who can also easily go to leisure parks such as the 'Ladybird Park' or the 'Kid park'.

Among all these leisure activities, the No. 1 destination remains the Dune of Pyla also known as the Dune of Pilat. Exceptional site, it dominates the ocean from the top of its 115 meters and unroll more than 2 km of white sand along the beautiful ocean beaches and the pine forest.

European countries which have built its reputation as a chic seaside resort.

Arcachon is truly the city of the four seasons, as many cultural events enliven the year. Whether in the magnificent Olympia theater which offers numerous plays, Arcachon Convention Center or outdoors, culture is omnipresent: “Cine sans frontières” film festival, “Cadence” dance festival, chamber music festival, “La plage aux écrivains” book fair, Nautical fair…
Our region is also a paradise for foodies. The Bassin d'Arcachon is renowned for its oysters. The oyster ports are dotted along the banks of the Bay throughout the year. You can observe the ballet of oyster farmers heading towards their oyster beds, then back to the bay. The oyster museum in Gujan Mestras allows you to discover its culture, its trades, its history in our region.

The Bordeaux vineyards are at the gates of the Arcachon Bay as well as the crops of the Landes, Lot et Garonne. Southwestern cuisine can be found in Arcachon mixing land and sea influences.

The Arcachon Bay and town of Arcachon, thanks to their proximity to Bordeaux are easily accessible. Bordeaux Merignac Airport is less than 60 km away and many direct flights connect the various European capitals. Regular and frequent connections by TER between Arcachon and Bordeaux, a direct high speed train line puts Paris less than 3 hours from Arcachon. Finally, the motorway network opens the Bay to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Spain.
